Saving Cinderella

Mallory Katherine Bellsford is about to get married to Brandon Collins when Brandon’s very pregnant girlfriend comes running down the aisle saying she objects to the marriage. Mallory walks out and into a taxi to get away. There in the taxi she meets her guardian angel, Jonathan Ryan MacFarland, who is the taxi driver. Jonathan tells Mallory “Your life as a pampered rich girl is over. Your new life begins today. You must find and give love, only then will you be able to regain your old life.” Mallory tries to make the best of the situation by selling her wedding dress at a thrift store. This is where Mallory first meets Adam Chandler and his four-year old daughter, Hope.

Whoever said love at first sight exists was not talking about Mallory and Adam. While Adam thinks Mallory is a spoiled princess, he also has other things on his mind like finding a wife or he could lose his daughter. So when Adam rescues Mallory from a guy at Moe’s, the bar where she started working, they strike a deal to marry each other. After they are married Mallory runs into her father. Her father can’t believe what Mallory has done but he tells her that she is penniless and on her own for a year till she learns to grow up. Now all Mallory has is Adam and his daughter Hope. So will Mallory and Adam choose the happy ending or does fate have other plans for these two?

I really enjoyed reading Saving Cinderella. It was like the modern day updated version of a classic tale. I found myself enchanted by this story. The idea of Mallory having her own guardian angel, who finally steps in because he is tired of Mallory making the wrong decisions was great. Adam was to die for. Not only was he tall, dark and handsome, but a good father and he had a funny sense of humor too. Ms. Bolk sure knew how to weave her magical touch in Saving Cinderella. One guardian angel is good but five angels are better, especially when it comes with a crown of Recommended Read.
